Freddo:
APOSTATE LIES!! 😉
hi guys.
sooner or later we're going to get a jw knocking on our door.
just like when we were jw's doing the knocking, it's good to have a question prepared to get them thinking about their own beliefs.

APOSTATE LIES!! 😉
it was just about a year ago exactly that i really and truly decided in my mind where i stood and as rutherford would say "face the facts".
before that, there was a period of about two years where i almost felt like i had a dual personality, vacillating between pro and anti jw, a very confusing, draining mental state to be in.
and it all started over seven years ago in 2010, when i read "apostate" material on the internet.
"Neatster" 😅 yeah that is a good one!
As for my name, it's an anagram. Rearrange the letters and you've got "double agent", which is kind of appropriate now seeing as I'm PIMO.
And I'm your apostate brother by the way 😂
just came across a meme of the leader of the mormon church (lds) saying "believe, obey and endure".
it just reminded me of the jw mantra "listen, obey and be blessed".
😂.

That's all.

Me: Do you believe the Bible says that Christendom has blood guilt 'reaching clear up to heaven'?
JW: Yes!
Me: The blood guilt must be paid for to satisfy God's justice, right?
JW: Absolutely!
Me: For decades, Jehovah's Witnesses forbade vaccinations, organ transplants and blood fractions, but they began allowing them in more recent years. Who is responsible for those who died in the process? Who owns their blood guilt?
does the act of baptism make us a "member" of any group or organization?
or, is it something much greater in its purpose?.
when we as former jws came to the truthful conclusion that what the wtborg cult inc. was teaching/preaching was not an accurate representation of the word, many of us decided to look into every nook and cranny to see if we could discover the real truth.
JWs by rote define baptism as 'symbolising dedication to Jehovah', but this has %0 scriptural basis. Not that it's wrong, per se, but the Bible DOES specifically describe baptism in other ways:
Washing away sins, in other words a clean conscience
Dying to sin, living to spirit
Being baptized into Christ's death, also to share the manner of his resurrection

For about four years after that, I continued to do so, but with a critical view to 'prove them all wrong' like a child. It was only so long before I couldn't ignore the facts any longer. The starting point of my 'dual personality' phase, cognitive dissonance or whatever you want to call it, was in 2014 with the God's Kingdom Rules book featuring the "This Generation" chart. I finally gave myself permission to admit that I absolutely did not believe a particular teaching of the Governing Body, and in fact found it ridiculous and insulting. By the summer convention of 2016, I no longer had any glimmers of the 'gushy' feelings you're supposed to get at conventions. However I did feel a few twinges of urgency and even fear when the speaker was talking about loyalty, bunkering down and the end coming. The real turning point though, was that late summer/early autumn when I read the entire new testament in a relatively short period of time. Sure I'd read it before many times through the years, but this was the first time without wearing my dogma goggles. Following the example of the former Baptist preacher Jonas Wendall who the Governing Body claims to admire, I let "scripture interpret scripture", with no bias. I lost count of the times my mouth was literally open, the gasp audible and extended. How could all these things have been right in front of my face for decades and yet invisible?
All Christians go to heaven,
The earth will not last forever,
Disfellowshipping as we know it is not described in the Bible,
The last days were of Jerusalem, not now,
There is no such thing as a 'faithfull and discreet slave' class,
1914 is not a thing,
The early Christians didn't preach door to door,
Besides many scriptures that plainly condemn specific JW practices and traditions, the list goes on and on.
And now, here I am. A little ahead of some of us and way behind of others, but on the same road and journey nonetheless. Past a major hurdle in the path, for sure, but not expecting it to get any easier. There's no way around it in most situations. While we can be mentally free, and some even physically, this isn't something that just leaves you. Especially when there's family involved, it's a perpetually opened wound. It'll be this way til I'm done with this world, and that's yet another fact to face. That's my cross to bear.
if you take the red pill, you'll have knowledge, you'll be awakened, aware of reality, you'll have freedom.. if you take the blue pill, you stay in your bubble, wearing rose colored glasses, and feel security in an illusion.. taking the red pill isn't something that's easy to do.
to accept that everything around you is an illusion built up on lies or half truths.
but hey, it might feel good to be aware and break free from this illusion.
I have these thoughts every so often, and it's definitely affected my mood and emotions because I, like you, mentally left in 2016.
rip march 16, 1926 to aug.20, 2017 he was too conservative for me about a few things but he was my biologicalmother and you never forget a woman like that.

The Nutty Professor also holds the record of longest period of time between an original movie and its sequal with the origin star reprising his role. (It was an animated movie, which was made a few years ago, and features the voice of Jerry Lewis as his original character, but it focuses on his son.)
back in the day, the bible students believed that 6,000 years of human history ended in 1874, and that therefore they were already living in the 1,000 year reign.
as such they were looking for proof, such as miracle wheat, showing god's blessing on the land, and beth sarim, which was to be a testament to the imminent resurrection.. but then emphasis switched to the future, when the chronology was adjusted 101 years to 1975. that was also coupled with the teaching of 'the generation that would not pass away'.. now recently, especially since the 100th anniversary in 2014, emphasis is being placed back on the now.
with the overlapping generations and the last days being stretched to their limit, the new spin is: 'yeah, the new system is nice to talk about, but who needs it?

With the overlapping generations and the last days being stretched to their limit, the new spin is: 'Yeah, the new system is nice to talk about, but who needs it? We're under kingdom rule right now!' From the "God's Kingdom Rules!" book, to the "Organizational Accomplishments" video series, to one of the recent music videos about "what the kingdom's done so far", the idea that's really being pushed is that the organization itself is somehow good enough proof of Christ's invisible rule.
Of course that begs the question of the thousand year reign. Do the years before Armageddon not count? On that note, do you think the GB will ever revert to the previous belief that we're now IN the 1,000 reign, and possibly have been since 1975, (so they'd end up being 'sort of' right, just like they claimed success for the failed 1914 prophecy)?
